Farmers selectively harvest ripe cherries, which are then rinsed and sorted before pulping. Fermentation typically runs between 8 and 12 hours, followed by careful washing and sun-drying on raised beds for 10 to 15 days until the coffee reaches a target moisture content of approximately 10–11%. Each step is designed to maintain clarity and consistency in the finished cup.
The station is operated by Rwanda Trading Company, which maintains close relationships with its producer network. Beyond processing, the organization actively supports farm sustainability by distributing tens of thousands of coffee seedlings and shade trees each year, helping growers renew aging plantings and adapt to changing climate conditions.
