Liquidámbar Washed '24
Finca Liquidámbar is a testament to renewal and perseverance. Walter, a coffee producer with over 20 years of experience, initially sold cherries to exporters. Nine years ago, he purchased the farm, but low market prices nearly forced him to sell and focus solely on his cattle for milk production. Two years ago, his child joined him with a determination to transform the farm rather than give up.
Together, they invested in modernizing operations, installing a Penagos depulper, a mechanical dryer for washed coffees, polytunnels for naturals, and mesh-covered patios for optimal drying. Today, the farm thrives, with drying patios that resemble a sea of cherries—proof of their dedication and shared vision.
