Jhon Wilmer Cuellar is a third-generation coffee farmer from Acevedo, Huila, where he manages Las Brisas, a 10-hectare farm located at 1,800 MASL. With more than 15 years focused on coffee cultivation, Jhon continues his family’s tradition while pushing his farm forward through variety experimentation and intentional processing.
At Las Brisas, each coffee is treated according to its variety and potential. Jhon works with traditional methods while also exploring oxidation and anaerobic fermentation to create expressive, differentiated profiles.
Sustainability is central to his approach. He avoids pesticides, uses coffee husks and honey as organic fertilizers, and plants banana and cachingo trees to support soil health, shade, and nitrogen enrichment.
For Jhon, the most rewarding part of the process is tasting the final coffee. His work is driven by quality, experimentation, and a deep respect for the land.
