Finca El Poste, managed by Guillermo Montenegro Ayestas and his family, embodies resilience and excellence. Overcoming financial struggles, including a near-loss of the farm to auction, Guillermo regained control and has since transformed the land into a hub for exceptional coffee. The farm produces varieties like Catuai, Caturra, Bourbon, Maragogype, Maracaturra, and Pacamara, showcasing complex flavor profiles. Guillermo meticulously tailors fermentation methods for washed and natural coffees, ensuring high quality. Since 2011, their coffee has consistently excelled in the National Cup of Excellence, reaching 7th place in 2017. United by passion and dedication, the family continues to produce outstanding coffees while fostering strong partnerships, including with Caravela since 2013

Our Roasting Style
We will try to roast these coffees to an omniroast profile that works in all methods, we roast on a Loring 35kg and will aim for a lighter than medium roast- (40% on our scale) or for you in the know 410-415F end temp, ~10 min total time for all lots with tailoring done for each methods ability to take on heat.
