Cloza Natural '25

Cloza Estate is a fourth-generation family farm and micro mill nestled in the Naranjo and Alajuela regions. Since 1970, the family has specialized in producing small, high-quality lots across three distinct plots, rooted in tradition and care. 

Kathia, a mother of two, has managed the farm since 2001. With guidance from her parents, Clodoveo and Jeannette, she has enhanced quality by introducing new varieties and upgrading both equipment and processing techniques. Her goal is to honor her family’s legacy while inspiring her sons to share the same love for coffee that shaped her life.

As a board member of the International Women’s Coffee Alliance (Costa Rica Chapter), Kathia champions gender equity in coffee. Cloza is also Women Care Certified—underscoring the family’s commitment to women’s empowerment in the industry.
