Single Origin: El Puente Washed

El Puente Washed represents the connection between smallholder producers in Palestina, Huila, Colombia, and the global specialty coffee market. The El Puente processing facility, established in 2018 by Clearpath Coffee, addresses challenges faced by local producers, including limited post-harvest infrastructure, financial constraints, and the risks of adopting new processing methods. By purchasing freshly harvested cherries at prices equivalent to dried coffee, El Puente ensures fair compensation while handling processing and marketing.

This Washed coffee is produced on allied farms using traditional methods: sorting, depulping, 24–32 hours of fermentation, and drying for 20–25 days. El Puente pays quality premiums and offers producers guidance to improve future harvests, fostering sustainability and community development. It’s a symbol of innovation, collaboration, and commitment to coffee excellence.
